A major Consumer Goods Company in Southern California engaged Xavor in a Management Consulting engagement to leverage the industry standard called SCOR (Supply Chain Operational Reference), recommend key measures for their Supply Chain Operations, and socialize them with the business leaders. These metrics have been tailored to fit the business practices within the home video industry, without losing their common standards, so as to render them comparable to other companies.

"We don't know where we were before going live with ERP and where we would go afterward", said the EVP of Global Supply Chain at the company,"this will help us set goals for continual improvement and count real dollars of savings".

The SCOR model, founded, maintained, and continually upgraded by the Supply Chain Council, a non-profit organization, essentially analyzes a Supply Chain through five or six key activities - PLAN, SOURCE, MAKE, DELIVER, RETURNS, with an occasional inclusion of ENABLE function to represent the important element of IT.

As more and more companies embrace SCOR, the home video industry has recently taken note of it. “We enlisted the support of the Xavor consulting team, which has longstanding experience in Supply Chain improvement and strong working relationships with our management,” added the SVP of the company.

Two studios now are ready and live with SCOR, while others are set to embark on this.
